Nikki & Eben
So I usually don’t get something up and viewable this quickly, but I couldn’t resist. Sitting in the Bux, uploading today’s wedding (it was a 2-in-a-row weekend for us!). I’ve been ruined.
Last night we experienced one of the coolest, most chaotic, artistic and fun-loving expressions of a wedding ceremony! Our friends Nikki & Eben got married out at Nikki’s parent’s house, litterally in the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. In fact when I asked her Dad, “Mr. Dad, how did you pick here to live.” His reply…. “Well, I wanted to live in the middle of nowhere.” My reply… “well accomplished sir, well accomplished.”
Anyways, back to the wedding. We met Nikki & Eben out at Earl Harrison House. Eben is the son of Kathy, the person in charge of this sweet Historical Mansion that is rented out on the weekends for weddings and events. Since we’ve worked there quiet a bit we have gotten the chance to hang out breifly with Nikki & Eben (they are there every weekend doing pretty much everything–bar tending, setting up chairs, and everything in between). Nikki asked us to take her wedding photos, which to be honest was a pretty frightening and intimidating thing to be asked.
Nikki (and Eben too) is this really hip artsy person who likes the unusual and eclectic sides of life…and she’s a photog herself. Here’s her thoughts for an eclectic wedding. Small ceremony (20 peeps mobbed around the two of them as they say their incredibly poetic vows), Indian Food, a wonderful variety of beer, and a pool party. That’s right it’s been her dream since a child to have a pool party wedding. So I could not resist, no matter how tired I am at the moment to show off somes of these sweet shots we got from the day’s events! And I think I’m putting it in the contract that anyone that does a pool party wedding automatically get’s 25% off! Fun times!

I love trees!

My Wife took this picture!

Another one for the wife!

Oh yeah, my daughter’s joined in the pool party festivities!

Thanks guys for a great night!

Yet again I am amazed and astounded by your work… both photographic and written
Thanks to you and your lovely wife for the amazing images you have produced of the one day in my life I will never forget. Our wedding couldn’t have been better… and your family helped to complete it for us. I was so happy that your beautiful daughters could come and play; and I hope they (and you and Joanna) had a great time.
Even though everything was haphazardly put together, and soooo non-traditional, you guys did a fantastic job of flying by the seats of your pants, and capturing everything I knew that you would… and then some
Thanks again, you guys are great

What beautiful pictures, you really captured the spirit of Eben and Nikki’s wedding! The image of Eben and Nikki under the oak tree is surreal, my mom (Eben’s gramma) who passed away last year did some water colors of oak trees at sunset very similar to this! I felt her spirit was with us that day and this just confirms it!! I just knew she would be with us to celebrate her grandson’s wedding to such a beautiul young woman. Great work! Thank you!

Tim,
Thanks so much for all you guys did at Nikki and Eben’s wedding. I’ve always known that the most important thing to Nik are the photos. Just looking at these and I know that you were the answer to my prayer! Your daughters are lovely, as is your wife. You are a lucky man! And we were so pleased that you were able to shoot the wedding for Nikki and Eben. Thanks again–can’t wait to get to see what else you shot!
