Sarah & Matt – Raleigh NC Wedding Photos
A few weeks ago we got to travel to Raleigh, NC to shoot a wedding on the university campus at the State Room. It was a gray cloudy day, but a beautiful wedding none-the-less. Sarah and Matt (both very photogenic) were a pleasure to work with and both did a phenomenal job with their photos. Number one favorite thing for a photographer, a couple who likes to have their picture taken!

These next three photos were taken by my wife…I must say she has REALLY stepped up her game. It’s such a cool thing to work alongside her every weekend, and she is really forcing me to step outside my box and produce some new, fresh ideas!

And this my friends is one of my favorite guy pics EVER. Way to go Matt. My favorite is the dads on the ends of the line!

If you’re in Raleigh, give us a call, we love the city and would love to return at some point!
Kelli Bridals – Chattanooga TN
The bridal portrait is perhaps the most nerve-racking, awkward experience for you girls. First it’s just you and a camera, no one else to hold your hand or snuggle up next to, just you and all your glory. Some girls dread bridal portrait day, particularly those who are a little camera shy. So what advice can I offer for those of you dreading that day?
OWN IT…
Own who you are, own that beautiful dress you’re in, rock your hair-dew, love who you are and what you’re doing and FORGET about all the people staring at you as your walking down the street to the next spot. You are beautiful, believe, act it, own that!
And here’s what happens when you own it…Kelli rocked out the bridal shoot. She was confident, calm, and ready for whatever came her way.

Chattanooga Engagement Photos
A couple weeks ago I got to do my first shoot in downtown Chattanooga. I must admit I was a little nervous about where I would find places to shoot, but since we’ve started this several years ago we made a promise to ourselves to keep things fresh. I never want to be that photographer that uses the SAME spots over and over and over again. Sure every once in a while is nice, but we gotta get out there and discover! (That’s part of our job!)
So needless to say I had a great time finding some new fresh spots that I think really turned out GREAT! See for yourself…

LOVE THIS WALL

This was taken at the Bluff View Art District, downtown Chattanooga…

This girl knows how to rock the poses…

Chris & Laura
Got to hang out with Chris & Laura in Houston area a few weeks ago. When Chris and I first met, he stared at me blankly and stated the oh so infamous line “Are you Aaron’s brother” (I get that A LOT!!!) Turns out he and my brother used to go to the same church, I think Chris was in my brother’s youth group when he was on staff in Sugarland….small world!

Jessica & Chris
Here’s a few photos from a wedding we had a couple weeks ago in Killeen, TX. Jessica (the bride) had asked me to photograph her wedding, which was a great honor. At one time I was sort of her Student Pastor at FBC Killeen, so needless to say the wedding was a homecoming of sorts for all my friends in K-TOWN as they call it. Congrats Jessica and Chris!

Sweet Find
More photos coming soon I promise. Still trying to get unpacked and WAY behind on my edits. I had to brag about my find today at a local Habitat for Humanity find! I’ve been wanting a Holga (perhaps the most simplistic camera made) for some fun artsy grunge photos. Can’t wait to take and show! Anyways so i was there browsing and I found a Holga for $2!!!!!! TWO DOLLARS!!! Amazing!!!
The BIG move
Well we’re off. Got in last night at 1230am from a great wedding (shoutout Kaleigh and Jacob). Woke up at 6am to say our goodbyes, coffee by 8am and we were off! See, here’s me and Cooper in the budget truck having some male bonding time. ..
…and then this…..
really?!?!?!?! COME ON!!!!
so now, here I sit in Sulphur LA, at Novrozsky’s Burger Shack waiting on Chip (my tire “technician” being sent via the wonderful people of Budget rent-a-truck–yes they actually called him a tire technician). Funny feeling – me + emo black rimmed glasses + macbook, uploading wedding photos in hill-billy LA — gettin’ the stares….what? Never seen a guy uploading photos and blogging in your precious burger shack?!?!?!?
Sarah & Matt
Now that I’ve started this whole blogging venture I’m excited to go back through some of my summer shoots and post some of those up here for your viewing pleasure! Earlier this summer we got to go to NC for a beautiful farm wedding (not like hillbillies and corn-cob pipes) but a really nice elegant farm…I’ll post some in a few so you believe me.
Anyways while we were there we did a quick (and I mean quick–we had to drive back to ATL for a flight and literally had 45min at 6am to squeeze in a few shots) engagment shoot with our good friends Sarah & Matt. Sarah & Matt are getting married in September, which we are so excited about. I’m pumped about it b/c she is going to be an absolutely gorgeous bride!!!! I mean just check out these photos, she’s beautiful–and she’s a photog herself. You can check out her work at sarahlizphotography.com

Nikki & Eben
So I usually don’t get something up and viewable this quickly, but I couldn’t resist. Sitting in the Bux, uploading today’s wedding (it was a 2-in-a-row weekend for us!). I’ve been ruined.
Last night we experienced one of the coolest, most chaotic, artistic and fun-loving expressions of a wedding ceremony! Our friends Nikki & Eben got married out at Nikki’s parent’s house, litterally in the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. In fact when I asked her Dad, “Mr. Dad, how did you pick here to live.” His reply…. “Well, I wanted to live in the middle of nowhere.” My reply… “well accomplished sir, well accomplished.”
Anyways, back to the wedding. We met Nikki & Eben out at Earl Harrison House. Eben is the son of Kathy, the person in charge of this sweet Historical Mansion that is rented out on the weekends for weddings and events. Since we’ve worked there quiet a bit we have gotten the chance to hang out breifly with Nikki & Eben (they are there every weekend doing pretty much everything–bar tending, setting up chairs, and everything in between). Nikki asked us to take her wedding photos, which to be honest was a pretty frightening and intimidating thing to be asked.
Nikki (and Eben too) is this really hip artsy person who likes the unusual and eclectic sides of life…and she’s a photog herself. Here’s her thoughts for an eclectic wedding. Small ceremony (20 peeps mobbed around the two of them as they say their incredibly poetic vows), Indian Food, a wonderful variety of beer, and a pool party. That’s right it’s been her dream since a child to have a pool party wedding. So I could not resist, no matter how tired I am at the moment to show off somes of these sweet shots we got from the day’s events! And I think I’m putting it in the contract that anyone that does a pool party wedding automatically get’s 25% off! Fun times!

I love trees!

My Wife took this picture!

Another one for the wife!

Oh yeah, my daughter’s joined in the pool party festivities!

Thanks guys for a great night!
Katie & Ross
Katie & Ross (an absolutely beautiful couple) got married a few weeks ago, and it was perhaps the friendliest wedding we’ve been to! Needless to say the wedding was a blast and everyone in the wedding was gorgeous (or handsome if that be the case). Enjoy!
